2024 Tesla Model X Review

It’s the car that’s engineered to wow. The 2024 tesla model x is the flagship of Tesla’s electric SUV lineup, and it’s one of our favorite models to drive. The Model X’s up-and-over rear doors make it easy for passengers to enter the back row, and the spacious interior offers plenty of room for everybody. It ranked ninth on our Best American-Made Index, and it’s the only SUV on the list.

The Model X is available in dual-motor or plaid form, and either can be configured as a five-, six-, or seven-seater. All versions are equipped with a useful frunk for extra cargo and all offer access to Tesla’s nationwide network of Superchargers.

2024 Tesla Model S: Innovations and Features

Although it’s a bit heavier than many of its competitors, the Model X remains agile and fun to hustle around town. Its acceleration, especially in plaid guise, can embarrass some supercars. The Model X also rides smoothly and quietly on the motorway, with a minimal amount of road noise.

All Model Xs are loaded with standard equipment, including a 17-inch touchscreen that houses infotainment and most vehicle controls. Standard features include dual-zone climate control, heated seats and steering wheel, a panoramic glass roof, and a choice of round or yoke-style steering wheels. The SUV is also offered with Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta hands-free driving software, which can automatically steer and change lanes on highways and city streets—though we strongly advise drivers to always keep their eyes on the road.
